Where the famous mystery writer Agatha Christie liked to spend her days in room 411 and “Murder on the Orient Express” was written, one of the most interesting events of this year took place.
The hotel’s Galata foyer was transformed into a brand new art gallery in collaboration with Istanbul Concept Gallery and the Pera Palace team. Leading art professionals celebrated this premiere with an exclusive opening event that combined tradition and innovation in one of the world’s cultural epicenters.
Artist Mahmut Celayir exhibited “In the Trace of the Shadow / Tracing the Shadow” using various techniques such as oil and acrylic on canvas, silk print and collage. The digital and NFT section of the exhibition was presented by 4ARTechnologies Director Dino Lewkowicz.
After the event, guests attended a special reception themed: Midnight at Pera Palace in the magnificent ballroom of Pera Palace.
Ekrem İmamoğlu-Mayor of Istanbul Municipality, Enver Öncü-Chief Controller of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as well as leading figures from culture, industry and other international guests exchanged views on current developments and future visions for the local and global art market.
